Opening A Lamborghini Dealer

How would you promote the opening of a new Lamborghini dealer in Calabasas, California?

Well, the dealer had the idea of inviting a ton of Hollywood stars; among them being a few of the cast members from the hit television show "Heroes". Cast members who showed up were Greg Grunberg ("Matt Parkman"), Milo Ventimiglia ("Peter Petrelli"), Kristen Bell ("Elle") and of course, Hayden Panettiere ("Claire Bennett").

Ms. Panettiere was looking rather fantastic on this particular night. Like the hair, love the outfit.

So Then...

Yeah...

Honestly, I cannot think of much to write about at the moment. One of the few things that comes to mind is that last week's episode of Heroes was absolutely kick ass. Other than that, the weather has been very cooperative over the last couple of days - still chilly, but we're getting actual sunshine.

Oh, I've thought of something.... You know that site called "Hot or Not" where you upload a picture of yourself and people from all around the world rate you based on your supposed hotness? Well, I took the fall and uploaded a picture of myself a couple of days ago. So far I've collected some 46 votes and my score is... Nah, I'm not telling you just yet. I'm waiting till I get 100 votes to spill the beans.

Movies & Television This Week

Online television that is...

So yeah, I watched the 3rd episode of the 2nd of Heroes this past Monday and am a little worried at where the show is going. The once cool and amazing coincidences which fuelled the first season are almost non-existent, and already three episodes in, very little has happened. In other the words, the show is starting to a drag it's weight. Additionally, having Claire and Peter fall into relationships means the show could head down the path of mindless teenage drama (see "The O.C.")

Yeah... I dunno. I remember when Buffy the Vampire Slayer was an excellent show, but as they piled the love drama on, the show took a fall. Rather than being about what it's title suggested, it was nothing more than a big love story.

Still, I eagerly wait for the next episode. Hopefully it's a bit more, uhh, exciting.

Other than my weekly dose of Heroes, I watched the pilot episode of "The Bionic Woman" last night. Isn't wasn't exactly bad, but wasn't all that great. Considering it's the pilot though, I plan on watching a few more episodes before I decide whether it's rubbish or not. Quite frankly, the only solid conclusion I've come to at the moment is that The Bionic Woman herself (played by Michelle Ryan) is cute (left).

On the movie front, I watched "Underworld" last night. I've seen it several times before - I own it - but could only think two things when watching it. Firstly, this is a great action movie and secondly, how the hell was the second movie so awful? Oh it's true, I thought the first movie was great and I'm not just saying that because Kate Beckinsale was in it. I honestly believe that it is a great film; both well directed and well-casted as well as boasting a great selection of characters and great animation/graphics. But of course, having Kate in Underworld adds a certain degree of allure to the film. First and foremost because she's kick ass, but also because she's undeniably sexy. Not to mention, Kate is a great actress. She's well spoken, and most definitely believable.

Also watched a film called "Big Nothing" just recently. Staring David Schwimmer, Simon Pegg and Natascha McElhone
it's a film about:

Charlie is an ex-teacher turned reluctant call center employee who gets fired on the first day. Distraught on being unable to provide for his daughter Emily and cop wife, Penelope, he is suddenly contacted by Gus, an aspiring scam artist who presents Charlie with a seemingly snag-free plan to make some cash: Blackmail Reverend Smalls a man of the cloth, who's frequently turned up in the company database of visitors to illegal porn-sites. Gus plans on extorting Reverend Smalls, with the intention of publicly exposing his secret shame, should he refuse, with this scandal potentially destroying the man's career. Normally cautious Charlie, is keen on participating in this scam, confident that with this money maker he'll garner from the deal and will finally help turn things around for him and his family.

Thanks to IMDB.com

It's an excellent film and though it sounds extremely serious, It's more of a black comedy than a gritty crime drama. Interestingly enough, though everyone in the movie has an American accent and supposedly living in Kansas, the movie was actually filmed on the Isle of Man.

Oct 4th

With a lack of imagination at the moment, I have yet to come up a concrete title for this random post. Thus is why it's called what it is.

Ahh, hmm, what should this post be about? Well, I guess it could be just about anything. Trouble is, I don't even really feel like writing right now, but absolutely hate to leave my Blog neglected. So then...

This week has been very much of blur. Frankly, I can't remember a whole lot of what has happened in the last four days, but I shall try and recall some of the things I've done:

Well, firstly, I watched the new episode of Heroes this past Monday. Intriguing episode and --ATTN: SPOILER -- was surprised at how well the story continued to play out. I thought with Hiro having time-traveled back to 1600's Japan and Kensei being a white man that the story was perhaps going no where, and that the show would possibly reveal it's demise by the time the second episode arrived (yeah, I'm critical). Thankfully, it hasn't and it would appear the Tim Kring has got a lot more in store for the show. C'mon, do any of you guys really believe that Sylar is dead? I sure as hell don't. Additionally, how long before Mohinder Suresh and Noah Bennett get into a situation they are unable to escape from?

And what about Nikki/Jessica Sanders? We didn't see her sweet face at all in episode #2. Thankfully though, the ever-cute Claire Bennett (played by the sweet Hayden Panettiere) made an expected appearance. I just knew that her friend from High School would find out about her rapid regeneration, but Christ all mighty, what the hell was Claire thinking by cutting her own pinkie toe off? Risky gamble, ain't it?

Although, on a side note, I'd love to be able to do that; make no mistake, I'd be cutting my hands off and then watching them regrow all day long!

*** Moving on ***

Watched a couple movies over the week. The first of two being "Serenity" - which I thought was rather boring and displayed awful acting talent, and the second being "Hot Fuzz" which I thought was very enjoyable. 6/10 for the first one, 9.0 for the latter.

And what else do I have to talk about? Well...

Weather's been mediocre, although thankfully there hasn't been as much rain as I had expected.

Been a busy week for my other Blogs, specifically
My Kate Beckinsale Blog which has been off the charts. The news and pictures as of late is seemingly endless. Unfortunately, My Celebrity-based Picture Blog hasn't been updated as much as I like lately. I am finding my time do so such ever increasingly declining and as a result, I feel that I will most possibly be closing that Blog very soon. It's truly is unfortunate because I loved the premise, but I just haven't the time.

In automotive news, Lexus has finally released the final specifications for their "IS-F" performance flagship. That 5.0 litre 8-Cylinder is churning out 423bhp (a slight shade more than the BMW M3) and a monstrous 372lb-ft of torque. The latter figure meaning the IS-F outguns the M3 by some 70lb-ft of torque. It's largely behind the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG though... Nevertheless, I very much look forward to comparisons amongst the trio - that's excluding the Audi RS4 mind you.

Though, while I greatly appreciate the vehicle's technological specifications, I do question how good it'll look in the flesh. Looks quite bloated in the odd photo...

I'm afraid there isn't much else to say... So, have great weekend all.

Oct 1st

Ahh yes, today is that day and at this moment, it's 3:43 PM.

As mentioned in my previous post, the weather this past weekend was atrocious. Just awful in every way, and to think that this is merely the beginning of winter! Six months of rain, eh? The suicide rate must be through the roof; thus most probably explains why Curt Cobain (Nirvana lead signer) committed suicide (lived in Seattle)....

Oh, ok, it was an awful joke.

Thankfully, today's weather was much more, oh how should I say it, livable sounds 'bout right. Whilst it's still a bit nippy, the general temperature has risen and hell, it hasn't rained in some 7 hours. Having skipped my daily walk yesterday - because of that bloody weather - I was able to make up for it by doing my regular walking routine twice. Additionally, I couldn't help but notice I was the only one wearing sandals with jeans, but then that's quite irrelevant isn't it?

Anyways, a new episode of Heroes is on tonight and I cannot wait.

And now, I leave you with these two mouth watering shots of the new Porsche 997 GT2:

Specatcular, don't ya think?

2:14 PM

Hell yeah! I'm listening to the Barenaked Ladies as of this moment and am loving every moment of it.

I've always loved these guys because they're innovative, unique, quirky and of course, Canadian. Their music is so entertaining. and I can never get enough of their lyrics. If you want a boat-load of metaphors and a meaningful message from someone here in the Great White North you'd be best to stay with Neil Peart, but if you want lyrics that are quirky, odd and above all else, fun, then the BNL are the guys to check out.

Allow me to share some of my favourite lyrics:

From "It's All Been Done"

"Alone and bored on a thirtieth-century night
Will I see you on The Price Is Right?
Will I cry? Will I smile?
As you run down the aisle?"

From "Be My Yoko Ono"

I know that when I say this,
I may be stepping on pins and needles;
But I don't like all these people
slagging her for breaking up the Beatles.
(Don't blame it on Yokey)
if I was John and you were Yoko,
I would gladly give up musical genius,
just to have you as my very own, personal Venus.
(Hit it)

From "One Week"

Chickity China the Chinese chicken
You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin'
Watchin' X-Files with no lights on
We're dans la maison
I hope the Smoking Man's in this one
Like Harrison Ford I'm getting frantic
Like Sting I'm tantric
Like Snickers, guaranteed to satisfy

Meanwhile, I am proud to say that I've lost 2lbs over the last two weeks. I know that it doesn't sound like a whole lot, but it's pretty good considering this is a result of increased daily activity and a slight change in my daily food consumption. I've been eating a lot of pre-packaged subway sandwiches from Safeway over the last couple of weeks And not only are they reasonably priced, but they taste great.

Tonight shall be entertaining though. After a hiatus of junk food, I'm a gonna get some cookies... I'm already lusting for them.

Oh and btw, I finished watching the first season of Heroes earlier today. I don't want to say anything for those who haven't seen the finale of the first season, but whoa! Eagerly awaiting season two!

Heroes (pt.3)

Whilst I realize that I've already titled two previous posts with a name relating to what I called this particular post, I couldn't care less. This shall be my last post entitled "Heroes" though - promise. =)

Anyhow, since I wrote my last post I've managed to watch yet another eight episodes. I just cannot get enough of this show!

You know, with the whole strange, unexpected conspiracy thing it kinda of reminds me of the X-Files, and thus is a huge positive considering the X-Files was always a favourite show of mine. And even after some thirteen episodes they have yet to tell us (the viewers) what the hell is going on. I love that it's all a big mystery; as a result the plot-line and what-not forces you to try and guess what's going to happen.

Additionally, it's amazingly addictive. Come to think of it, Heroes is almost like a soap opera, albeit an excellent one.

I know, I know, I'm so behind the times; after all, the second season is already airing here in North America.

In any event, it's also worth mentioning how great all of the characters are. My current favourite of the roster is probably Officer "Matt Parkman". Not because he has the best "power" - nah, I think Claire has that - but because he seems like a down to earth kind of guy. He's just cool.

Man, oh man, I truly am talking about the show as if it's soap opera, aren't I? Doesn't matter... if you have yet to see the show, watch the pilot episode!

Heroes (pt.2)

Ok, I think I've gone a little crazy on Heroes . After I wrote my last post about watching my first episode, I immediately decided to watch four others in un-interrupted continuation.

Man, this show is off the hook. Quite simply, it's ferociously addictive. When you've got a show with such a unique and interesting premise coupled with a series of great actors it can amount to nothing but a winner. Suffice to say, I very much look forward to watching more of this fantastic series.

Speaking of which, hats off to Hayden Panettiere. Having heard much hype about her, I had naturally assumed she would be a mediocre actress trading off her pretty looks (and yes, she really is a pretty girl), but I was wrong (I'm wrong a lot as of late, aren't I?). Hayden really is a great actress.

Furthermore, I am aware that most young heterosexual males have a definite interest Hayden. Can't say I blame 'em, but honestly, my eyes are most usually concentrated on Ali Larter:

Always had a "thing" for her; and she vaguely reminds me of Kate Beckinsale. Glad to see her back on the tele.

Heroes

Woah. Just finished watching my first episode of the hit-show, "Heroes". I watched the pilot episode titled "Gensis", and only have one thing to say: what an incredible show!

I thought it was just a bunch of bloody hype, but let me tell you, on this occasion I'm more than happy being wrong. Cannot wait to watch more!
