In Myself - 1 Year Anniversary

Well would you look at that. Today is the 1 year anniversary of when I opened "In Myself". Having just looked over some of my previous posts, I am absolutely amazed at how much has changed in little time. Things really have turned around - for the better, finally - in a time frame which was certainly unexpected.

That all be said, I took the time to assemble this short chart to show how things have changed. Even then, I simply cannot cover all of the things that have happened. In any event...

And lastly:

Blogging level: Then - high (nothing to do!); Now - low (lots to do!) :D.

Reading Blogs

I dunno about you guys, but I love to read other's Blogs. Actually, I enjoy reading them as much as I do updating my own. I find it highly interesting to read those of people that I don't know.

Here are a couple that I read:

"I am a tragic hero"
http://lolasneverland.blogspot.com/

The Blog belongs to a girl named "Lola". Lola is 23 years old, a vegetarian, is training to be an actress and from what I can ascertain, lives somewhere in Utah. She's an interesting character; undoubtedly intelligent and ultimately charming. I very much enjoy reading her posts because she seems like a cool person.

Another Blog which I recently started reading is:

"A Day in the Life"
http://elizabethboom.blogspot.com/

This particular Blog also belongs to a girl and her name is "Elizabeth". She's a much different individual than Lola; more opinionated, more snippy, more aggressive and irritated by smaller things.

Well, that's all for now. I'd better be off, got to go for my daily walk.

Celebrity Pix World Closing!

Well, I've finally decided that it's time to close my Celebrity Picture Blog. I just haven't the time to keep it updated anymore.

I'm actually kind of disappointed to see it go. I had a great vision for it, but ultimately the time it takes to upload these pictures has resulted in a Blog which is very much being neglected. True, I could probably take the time to do at least one picture post per day, but... nah.

I've decided to officially (like it's all that serious...lol!) shut it down this coming Sunday. Until then, you can check it out if you'd like: Celebrity Pix World

Blogging

Wow, having just looked through my Blog archive I am almost dumbstruck to find out that I've been blogging for a solid 7 months. I'm amazed because it feels more like 1, maybe 2 months at the most.

Suffice to say, I'm glad that I decided to open a Blog. It gives me a peace of mind, a place where I can say (and talk about) anything I'd like and of course bitch, moan and complain. Additionally, It does well to fill my hours of boredom and, well, it's just exciting to update it because it's mine. Think of it like painting a murial; painting a new section (or writing a new post in this case) is an accomplishment, an occasion. And of course, a personal Blog does well to keep track of my life; seeing what I was thinking, or doing, back in March.

You know, when I started Blogging I was confident that I'd be writing a post per day, but obviously, I was way being far too naive. Shortly thereafter, I decided updating my Blog every two days would be more feasible, and though that worked for a couple of months, I soon found it to be tiring. I eventually realized writing on the basis of interest and time would be best the option and thus explains why some months have 19 posts where as others have 35+.

Though, whether I was writing 5 or 20 posts a month, I soon came to the conclusion that Blogging was an addiction. No doubt about it. Blogging is like playing a great video game; you just want more and more. And after a month of screwing around with my personal Blog, I opened one devoted to another great interest of mine, Kate Beckinsale. And following that I opened "The Speed Barrier" (in July) and just recently (in September), "Celebrity Pix World".

I must admit though, if there is any downside to having multiple Blogs, it's that it requires a great deal of dedication, time and work. People often fall into the Blogging trend without realizing such. Browsing around, you're guaranteed to stumble upon more than a few Blogs which have just 1 or 2 posts before it's owner decided it was too much work to update it. I definitely understand it though... As I mentioned some time last week, there is a strong possibility that I will be closing "Celebrity Pix World" due to insufficient time. Make no mistake, I knew It'd be hard work from the beginning, but thought I'd give it a go anyways.

Again, those Blogs are:

"Celebrity Pix World"

"The Speed Barrier"

KateBecks

And of course, the one you are now reading.

Blogging is just great. Though I must admit I never would have started one without the help of a friend. I have my friend James to thank for the inspiration for opening this Blog. Without him and his Blog, tis never would have happened. Thanks James! =)

==========

Oh, and by the way, a new episode of Heroes is on tonight. Cannot Effing wait.

Meanwhile, the new season of BBC's Top Gear started last night and I of course watched it. What a fantastic episode, and more in lines with the "old-school" Top Gear. Nice work boys.

Over and out.

Oct 4th

With a lack of imagination at the moment, I have yet to come up a concrete title for this random post. Thus is why it's called what it is.

Ahh, hmm, what should this post be about? Well, I guess it could be just about anything. Trouble is, I don't even really feel like writing right now, but absolutely hate to leave my Blog neglected. So then...

This week has been very much of blur. Frankly, I can't remember a whole lot of what has happened in the last four days, but I shall try and recall some of the things I've done:

Well, firstly, I watched the new episode of Heroes this past Monday. Intriguing episode and --ATTN: SPOILER -- was surprised at how well the story continued to play out. I thought with Hiro having time-traveled back to 1600's Japan and Kensei being a white man that the story was perhaps going no where, and that the show would possibly reveal it's demise by the time the second episode arrived (yeah, I'm critical). Thankfully, it hasn't and it would appear the Tim Kring has got a lot more in store for the show. C'mon, do any of you guys really believe that Sylar is dead? I sure as hell don't. Additionally, how long before Mohinder Suresh and Noah Bennett get into a situation they are unable to escape from?

And what about Nikki/Jessica Sanders? We didn't see her sweet face at all in episode #2. Thankfully though, the ever-cute Claire Bennett (played by the sweet Hayden Panettiere) made an expected appearance. I just knew that her friend from High School would find out about her rapid regeneration, but Christ all mighty, what the hell was Claire thinking by cutting her own pinkie toe off? Risky gamble, ain't it?

Although, on a side note, I'd love to be able to do that; make no mistake, I'd be cutting my hands off and then watching them regrow all day long!

*** Moving on ***

Watched a couple movies over the week. The first of two being "Serenity" - which I thought was rather boring and displayed awful acting talent, and the second being "Hot Fuzz" which I thought was very enjoyable. 6/10 for the first one, 9.0 for the latter.

And what else do I have to talk about? Well...

Weather's been mediocre, although thankfully there hasn't been as much rain as I had expected.

Been a busy week for my other Blogs, specifically
My Kate Beckinsale Blog which has been off the charts. The news and pictures as of late is seemingly endless. Unfortunately, My Celebrity-based Picture Blog hasn't been updated as much as I like lately. I am finding my time do so such ever increasingly declining and as a result, I feel that I will most possibly be closing that Blog very soon. It's truly is unfortunate because I loved the premise, but I just haven't the time.

In automotive news, Lexus has finally released the final specifications for their "IS-F" performance flagship. That 5.0 litre 8-Cylinder is churning out 423bhp (a slight shade more than the BMW M3) and a monstrous 372lb-ft of torque. The latter figure meaning the IS-F outguns the M3 by some 70lb-ft of torque. It's largely behind the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG though... Nevertheless, I very much look forward to comparisons amongst the trio - that's excluding the Audi RS4 mind you.

Though, while I greatly appreciate the vehicle's technological specifications, I do question how good it'll look in the flesh. Looks quite bloated in the odd photo...

I'm afraid there isn't much else to say... So, have great weekend all.

Random Thoughts pt.2

All of my random thoughts as of this moment:

Yesterday was a slightly chilly, albeit beautiful typical fall day. The trees in the suburbs in 'Couver look spectacular. They're typical firey red and orange, but oh so much more special than Calgary. On the other hand, today is anything but nice. Right now, it's both cold and raining. Ughhh..

My annoying housemates (I really hate calling them that) - who left for their cabin last Thursday - have yet to come back, but I'm expecting them to come back any time soon. And I'm dreading that moment like few things else.

The Rush "Different Stages" 3 set CD I ordered last Monday and expected delivery of yesterday, has yet to come. The merchandise site says it'll take 2 to 3 weeks (on average), but seeing as I got my last CD in a 7 days (including a weekend) you should understand why I expected it yesterday. I know, I know - I'm being too pushy; I've got to give these things time.

**Please come today**

Meanwhile, have any one else noticed how colourful and exciting my Blog is when in contrast with others? Seriously, most others have a Blog similar to that of a real journal. Bleak, stark and honestly, un-interesting.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose, but there's no way I could stand having a Blog with no character whatsoever.

So then, what else is there to bitch about? Hmm, how about..Nah..

Oh wait, I've thought of something.

Had you not already known, I write car articles for both AutoSavant.net and my own Automotive Blog. I enjoy writing them, but surely not reading them. Most anything and everything I write anywhere - be it on a forum, AutoSavant.net, or even this Blog, I absolutely refuse to re-read. I cannot stand reading my own writing. It always seems so contrived, so embarrassing, so idiotic. I hate it and thus is the reason you'll commonly see spelling mistakes and muddy sentences through out much of my writing; I don't re-read my stuff.

Anyhoo, that's all for the moment.

My New Automotive Blog!

I have decided it is indeed time to open an automotive Blog.

Welcome to 'The Speed Barrier'

And yes, I will continue to write for AutoSavant.net. You can expect to see more than few shared posts between the two sites, but evidently, TSB will very much be a site with a different aim.
